. Artist Printmaker . .Visual Storyteller .

I am a printmaker and graduated student of the Department of Printmaking and Fine Arts at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. My practice is rooted in traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques, with a focus on engraving, which I blend with monotype, phototransfer, photography, and digital painting. In addition to my printmaking work, I have also collaborated on short films as a set designer and illustrator, and I work independently as a digital illustrator. While engraving remains my central technique, I also extend my artistic exploration into sculpture, primarily with wood and clay, as well as into traditional frame-by-frame animation based on my engravings. My aesthetic is influenced by the black-and-white tonalities of silent cinema, film noir, and vintage analogue photography, giving my work a dramatic, timeless quality. Conceptually, my art delves into existential and philosophical themes, employing symbolic shapes and figures to convey meaning. My influences draw from both ancient Greek mythology and Orthodox Christian iconography, which I reinterpret to place mythological and biblical characters within new existential frameworks. Through these narratives, I take on the role of a director, constructing scenes that explore universal questions from a fresh perspective. A recurring motif in my work is the presence of three silhouetted figures, representing a mystical trinity—a symbolic constant that echoes across eras as an ontological element. These three figures serve as observers, witnessing and reacting to the events as they unfold within each piece. My themes also encompass meditations on mortality and transitions, drawing from Greek tradition and artistic heritage. In addition, I study the classical proportions of the human body as seen in ancient Greek sculpture, creating a dialogue by comparing these idealized forms with contemporary bodies. Through my printmaking, I seek to bridge classical themes with modern existential reflections, offering a fresh yet timeless perspective on the human experience.
